Workshare Launches Document Collaboration Software

Document and e-mail management software provider
Workshare
has released Workshare Point, a solution for moving files into and out of SharePoint directly from Microsoft Office applications.
The software enables file attachments and e-mails to be moved between SharePoint and Outlook in a drag-and-drop fashion, and it offers suggestions for where to file inbound e-mails, making inbox management efficient and retrieval fast, according to the company. It also gives users the ability to access FAST search functionality in Outlook and in the Workshare Point UI.
Also, industry-specific or department-specific document libraries can be created within the software’s customizable interface. For example, a legal team may choose to label its document library “Matter Files” for a legal-ready solution, according to the company.
“The integration between SharePoint and Workshare Point means business professionals now can be much more efficient, essentially staying in Microsoft Office and working the way they are accustomed to,” said Scott Smull, CEO of Workshare. “As a Microsoft Gold ISV partner and an active member of the Microsoft TAP program, we work closely with the Microsoft team to create the most effective and intuitive solutions for our customers.”
